Long, longer, Ötztal
As the longest side valley of the Tyrol, the Ötztal is so varied. For around 65 kilometres the valley twists and turns through the Stubai and Ötztal Alps. Adventure is not only waiting for you on the mountain peaks, but down in the valley there is plenty to be discovered.
The lower Ötztal

Nature and high-tech come together at the entrance to the Ötztal with a good dose of fun. On an area of 9.5 ha, located exactly on the 47th degree of latitude on earth,
AREA 47 opens up an exciting universe for outdoor junkies
and adventurers of all ages.
The valley begins with a relatively soft landscape. The Piburger Lake above Öetz is, in summer, the warmest lake in the Tyrol and in winter turns into an idyllic ice rink.
The middle Ötztal
Umhausen, Längenfeld
A short hike from Umhausen, Tyrol's largest waterfall presents an impressive natural spectacle. At 159 meters, the Stuibenfall is Tyrol's largest waterfall.
A visit to the Ötzi Village is also worthwhile.
In the Ötzi Village, the archaeological open-air park in Umhausen,
visitors experience the everyday world around the famous glacier mummy Ötzi.
There is plenty of water in Längenfeld in the AQUA DOME spa. The iconic bowls invite you to relax and enjoy. Those who prefer to sweat than swim, will find wonderful walking paths and in winter more than 60 kilometres of cross country tracks.

Sölden, Gurgl, Vent
The James Bond Adventure World 007, inside the mountain
of the Gaislachkogl in Sölden is unique in the world.
Shortly after Sölden, the Ötztal divides in the direction of Vent and Gurgl.
The mountaineering village is the perfect base camp
for climbing the Wildspitze, Tyrol's highest mountain.
In summer, the Timmelsjochstraße starts behind Gurgl and leads directly to Italy.
The highest motorcycle museum in Europe is also located in Gurgl for fans of historic motorcycles and many other high-horsepower exhibits.
